If your child’s fifth birthday is between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026 then you will need to apply for a reception place at a first, infant or primary school in readiness to start in September 2025.

In Year Admissions
Any parent/carer who wishes to complete an in-year transfer to Picknalls First School should contact the school in the first instance. Further information can also be found on the Staffordshire County Council website. If you wish to make an application you should complete this application form and forward this to school.
We will advise you of the outcome of your in-year application within 10 school days or at the very latest within 15 school days. In the event that the place is refused information about the independent appeals process will be detailed in the letter.
